You’ve just graduated from university with a hard-earned Bachelor’s degree, and nothing beats that amazing feeling! But then the hype slowly starts to disappear, a week later – or two, you start wondering, what now? Your mind starts racing as you think about your future.

Job searching can get frantic, but worry no more, because ONEGCC, a Bahraini-based job search platform has got what you’re looking for. ONEGCC is an online employment platform that focuses on unique talent across the GCC region. With a growing economy in the GCC, and rapidly increasing unemployment rates, Co-Founder and CEO of ONEGCC Alharith Alatawi introduced the concept to help GCC citizens find the right job opportunities.

According to Alharith, only 5% of job seekers have adequate information on how to write a CV and apply for jobs. People mostly depend on friends and families to find a job, and 63% of graduates are specializing in degrees that are not relevant to the job market. “We try to find out more about their skills and personalities and from that were able to match talent the right opportunities based on the skills,” he added.

It’s pretty straightforward, you simply choose the kind of skills you have, and ONEGCC will matchmake you with companies that are seeking candidates with similar skills. Here’s a fun fact, more than 2,000 job seekers scored jobs through ONEGCC’s platform since its launch!

In case you didn’t know, ONEGCC won the first edition of Pitch@Palace Bahrain and received the people’s choice award. OneGCC was also recognized by Forbes as ‘One of the 15 most innovative startups in the MENA region’, and was also named one of the top 100 startups in the Arab World at the Forbes 2017 awards in Dubai.

The team is currently working on a new release that is expected to go live at the end of the year. The new version will feature a smarter technology that will enhance the matchmaking process. “It’s going to be smart not only will it kind of people you hire, detect the kind of culture, recommend people based on that,” said Alharith.
