If you have been closely following the events at the inaugural edition of the StartUp Bahrain Week that successfully wrapped up on Thursday, you have probably noticed that Follow the Leaders hosted by Thinkers & Doers was one of the prime attractions during the week-long activities.

The conference, which took place in the heritage houses of Muharraq on Tuesday, drew more than 400 entrepreneurs from all across the world, along with VCs, angel investors, incubators, and policymakers who gathered to promote and encourage the thriving entrepreneurial spirit in Bahrain and the region.

Organized by Thinkers & Doers in partnership with the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB) and Tamkeen (labor fund), the conference saw participants exchanging ideas and discussing the various challenges and opportunities that lay ahead of the startup ecosystem in the region.

For the uninitiated, Thinkers & Doers is a global network that aims to provide a platform for innovators and promising entrepreneurs to connect and network with international business leaders and decision makers.

Among the key participants in this year’s Follow the Leaders were Alexandre Zapolsky (CEO & co-founder, Linagora, France), Ricardo Karam (founder and executive chairman, Takreem), Mona Ataya (founder & CEO, Mumzworld, UAE),  Walid Faza (partner Wamda Capital, UAE), Ritesh Tialani (founder of Enhance – UAE), and Christian Kamayou, (My African Startup – Ivory Coast),

“It is a true honor for us to be here again, in Bahrain today. We are all very happy to see the great success of the event, with all the startups and investors, who have attended the event, and to witness what the booming ecosystems in the region have accomplished,” said Amandine Lepoutre, president at Thinkers & Doers.
