By now, Mintrics, the Cairo-based video analytics platform, has turned itself into a familiar brand in Egypt’s booming startup ecosystem. The company shot into the limelight earlier in November 2018 after becoming the first startup from the Middle East and North Africa to have graduated Google’s Launchpad Accelerator Africa.

Mintrics made it to the internet giant’s famed accelerator program’s second class that featured ten other startups. The program, held in Lagos, Nigeria, spanned three months, during which the participants received guidance from 48 mentors from across the Middle East, Africa, and the United States. Additionally, Google also granted all 11 participants including Mintrics a one-time equity-free funding worth $110,000.

Mintrics made its debut in 2016 as a social video intelligence platform that provides global brands, content publishers, and agencies insight into how target audiences are interacting with their social videos. The company’s innovative platform analyzes individual videos across multiple social media platforms and then generate metrics and charts to zoom in on their impact.

In other words, Mintrics helps its clients understand whether or not their social videos are yielding the desired output and help them optimize their future videos for maximum impact.

To accomplish its objectives, the startup has introduced an algorithm dubbed Mintrics Meter. The algorithm evaluates all metrics so the clients can gain an in-depth understanding of what really works with their target audience and what doesn’t.

The startup raised an undisclosed amount from Dubai-based Numu Capital in a seed round last year.
