Conrad Hamburg unveils art-led luxury in historic Levantehaus

Sep 28, 2025

Conrad Hotels & Resorts has opened Conrad Hamburg, the brand’s first property in Germany, inside the historic Levantehaus in the city centre. The hotel brings 283 rooms and suites and a gallery-like design approach that showcases German contemporary art, confirming early details in Hilton’s official announcement on Stories and industry coverage on Hospitality Net.

Set across the second to eighth floors of Levantehaus, the property highlights a curated art program and the building’s celebrated features, including Ada Isensee’s coloured leaded glass ceiling visible from every level. Rooms use deep blues, greys, dark reds, and copper tones that nod to Hamburg’s maritime and industrial heritage. The inventory includes 28 studios with kitchenettes and 29 suites, topped by a 232-sqm Presidential Suite with a private balcony and fireplace.

Wellness is a core draw. A 1,000-sqm spa and fitness area will debut soon and is set to feature Hamburg’s longest indoor hotel pool, alongside a sauna, steam bath, and treatment rooms, as highlighted by Falstaff.

Meetings and events span nine venues, from 43 sqm boardrooms to a 228 sqm space for up to 220 guests, plus an executive lounge for business travellers. Location remains a headline advantage. The address sits on Hamburg’s Kunstmeile with easy walks to City Hall, the Alster lakes, and HafenCity with the Elbphilharmonie. Main station and airport links keep access straightforward for regional and international guests.

Dining introduces a distinct flavour profile. GRETA OTO brings a Latin American menu with 110 indoor seats and 48 on a courtyard terrace, a La Mesa private room for 12, and the GRETA OTO Bar with signatures like a Pisco Sour and an adjacent cigar lounge, detailed on the hotel’s dining page.

Hamburg’s maritime heritage, vibrant cultural scene and thriving business hub make it a great destination for both business and leisure travellers, and the ideal setting for Conrad Hotels & Resorts’ debut in Germany,” said Simon Vincent CBE, president, Europe, Middle East & Africa, Hilton. Dino Michael, senior vice president and category head, luxury brands, Hilton, added that the debut invites visitors and locals to connect with the city’s cultural landscape through meaningful experiences.

Conrad Hamburg participates in Hilton Honors with on-app check-in and Digital Key. The opening offer includes bonus points for qualifying stays, with rates from €300 per night, or €250 for Hilton Honors members, according to launch information covered by RusTourism News.

For GCC and Bahrain-based founders and executives planning Europe travel, the mix of central location, modern meeting space, and loyalty benefits makes Hamburg a practical base for trade fairs and client meetings. The Levantehaus setting also adds cultural cachet for brand events that need strong design and art context.
