Tamkeen announces launch of Global Entrepreneurship Week 2025 in Bahrain

Nov 16, 2025

Tamkeen has announced the launch of Global Entrepreneurship Week 2025 in Bahrain, with a programme of workshops, talks and panels running from 16 to 20 November in parallel with the global celebration under the Global Entrepreneurship Network. The week’s agenda focuses on technology, innovation, artificial intelligence and business development, helping founders and small businesses move from idea to execution and into regional markets, as detailed in The Daily Tribune’s coverage of the launch.

Working with multiple ecosystem partners, Tamkeen’s programme blends specialised workshops, interactive panels and talks from regional and international experts. A key anchor is the 10th edition of the MENA Angel Investors Summit 2025 on 19 November, organised by Tenmou – Bahrain’s first Business Angels Company. The summit is expected to attract more than 300 investors, 50 startups and over 600 visitors, reinforcing Bahrain’s role as a meeting point for early stage capital across the region, according to a recent BizBahrain feature on the summit.

Tenmou Chairman Suhail AlGosaibi underlined what this partnership means for the local scene, saying “We highly value Tamkeen’s strategic partnership in the tenth edition of this landmark event and its continued efforts to strengthen Bahrain’s entrepreneurship ecosystem.” His comment shows how GEW Bahrain is tied to a broader push to connect Bahraini founders with regional investors and mentors, not only inspirational talks.

The week also lands at a time when Bahrain is reinforcing its position as a financial and innovation hub. The Bahrain Economic Development Board is using the Singapore FinTech Festival 2025 to promote the Kingdom’s fintech and digital finance strengths, with Executive Director of Financial Services Dalal Buhejji noting that “Bahrain and Singapore share a vision for open, innovation-led economies,” in a recent EDB press release. The same release highlights that financial services contribute 17.2 percent of Bahrain’s GDP, supported by a regulatory framework from the Central Bank of Bahrain that continues to attract global fintech and digital asset players.

Earlier this year, the 2025 Global Startup Ecosystem Report estimated Bahrain’s startup ecosystem at 1.2 billion dollars in Ecosystem Value, with a 13 percent compound annual growth rate compared to 2023, and ranked it among the Top 10 MENA ecosystems in both Funding and Performance, with particular strength in fintech, cybersecurity and AI, as reported in a June 2025 Daily Tribune article on Bahrain’s startup ecosystem. GEW 2025 is a live touchpoint on that trajectory, giving founders direct access to investors, Tamkeen’s support programmes and visibility with agencies such as the Bahrain Economic Development Board and Export Bahrain, the Kingdom’s national export development and internationalisation support arm.

For founders and ecosystem builders in Bahrain, the opportunity this week is specific. Decide whether your near term priority is fundraising, regional expansion or product focus, then register for the GEW sessions and MENA Angel Investors Summit tracks that match that priority through Tamkeen’s channels so you can leave the week with at least one new relationship and one clear next step.
