Tamkeen Q3 review: 31,000+ Bahrainis supported, 5,900 enterprises aided

Sep 28, 2025

Tamkeen’s Board of Directors met on September 14, 2025, chaired by His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court and Chairman of Tamkeen’s Board, who directed work on a 2026–2030 operational strategy focused on national talent and private-sector growth, as outlined by the Bahrain News Agency and confirmed on Tamkeen’s official release.

Q3 results show continued throughput across employment and enterprise support. Tamkeen reports support for over 14,100 Bahrainis entering the labour market, more than 17,800 Bahrainis benefiting from training and career development, and assistance to over 5,900 enterprises to drive growth, digital transformation, and productivity. The Board materials add that over 31,000 Bahrainis were supported through employment and career-development programmes during the period, detailed in Tamkeen’s Q3 note.

The quarter also introduced the Digital Enablement Program, a tool for virtual, micro, small, and medium enterprises (VmSMEs) to adopt practical software and services that lift efficiency and market reach. The programme runs on two tracks: one lets businesses select from accredited providers offering ready digital tools, and the other allows firms to bring a preferred provider to implement tailored solutions. Current terms and eligibility are listed on the programme page and the overview announcement.

Why this matters now in Bahrain. The strategy directive gives founders and HR leads a clear policy signal to plan hiring, training, and tech upgrades with confidence. The numbers point to depth in execution, while the Digital Enablement Program offers a short path from intent to deployment for companies that need billing, inventory, analytics, or workflow tools. The Q3 note also marks the close of the 2022–2025 strategic cycle, with the next plan expected to keep citizens central to growth and the private sector as the main engine, as reiterated in Tamkeen’s release and BNA’s coverage.

For founders, the immediate takeaways are straightforward. Map open roles to Tamkeen’s employment tracks. Sequence promotions with career development funding and tie wage growth to milestone skills. Shortlist two or three digital tools that fix real bottlenecks, then apply through the Digital Enablement Program to bring them live within Q4. The specifics for planning and application timelines sit in Tamkeen’s Q3 materials and the Digital Enablement Program.
