Zain Bahrain and Bahrain Chamber roll out founder panels under ZGI
Aug 5, 2025

Zain Bahrain and the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry are teaming up to host a series of technical panel sessions at Zain Tower as part of the first Bahrain edition of Zain Great Idea, the regional accelerator now active in the Kingdom. The collaboration is built to give founders practical insight into funding paths and cross-border growth, with sessions designed to turn know-how into execution.
The program is already in motion. Independent coverage confirms Zain Bahrain has launched the first phase of ZGI in the Kingdom, with the opening Boot Camp at Zain Bahrain Tower from 24 September to 9 October 2025, and a finalist set for a Silicon Valley immersion, as reported by the Daily Tribune – News of Bahrain and TradeArabia.
The panel series opened on 25 September with a session focused on fundraising for startups and SMEs at Zain HQ, 21st Floor, Seef, listed on the Chamber’s event page as a Fundraising Awareness Session from 5 pm to 6:30 pm; details are live on the Bahrain Chamber events page. The next follow-up is scheduled at the same venue on 29 September, titled Market Expansion in the GCC, also 5 pm to 6:30 pm, with listing available on the session page. Additional founder-focused sessions for early October will be posted on the Chamber’s rolling events calendar.

Zain’s leadership underlined the intent. “Today marks a significant milestone for Zain Bahrain as we officially launch Zain Great Idea in the Kingdom for the first time,” said Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid Al Khalifa, Chief Communications & Investor Relations Officer at Zain Bahrain, in remarks carried by the Daily Tribune and TradeArabia.
For founders mapping next steps, pair ZGI learning with national support. Incentives for hiring, wage progression, and capability building are listed on Tamkeen’s programs hub. Setup guidance and investor-relations touchpoints are available through the Bahrain Economic Development Board How we can help pages, keeping Bahrain as the operational base while you build GCC routes.
Next step: register for ZGI updates on the program site and RSVP for the Chamber-hosted sessions via the Bahrain Chamber events page so your team can walk into October with a funding plan and a GCC rollout checklist.
