INJAZ Bahrain recently concluded its highly anticipated 15th annual Young Entrepreneurs Competition (YEC). Hosted at the prestigious Gulf Hotel Bahrain on July 9-10, the event marked a significant milestone in fostering youth entrepreneurship in the Kingdom.

Under the esteemed patronage of Her Highness Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chairperson of INJAZ Bahrain, the competition brought together 120 students from 10 secondary schools and 10 universities across Bahrain. These aspiring young entrepreneurs showcased their ingenuity and business acumen, presenting innovative ideas across various sectors.

The competition witnessed fierce yet friendly competition as students vied for prestigious titles such as “University Company of the Year 2023” and “High School Company of the Year 2023”. Additionally, awards were presented for outstanding products and social impact initiatives, recognizing the exceptional contributions of participating student companies.

This year, the competition introduced six signature awards to highlight exceptional achievements, with notable sponsors such as Al Salam Bank, BBK, Bapco, NBB, Tamkeen, and Khaleeji. Distinguished individuals from prominent organizations served as judges, evaluating the creativity and viability of each entrepreneurial venture.

Among the standout winners were “N3ma” from the American School of Bahrain, securing the title of “High School Company of the Year 2023”, and “Fornature” from the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance, awarded “University Company of the Year 2023”.

HH Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa commended INJAZ Bahrain for its commitment to nurturing Bahraini youth, emphasizing the organization’s role in fostering a knowledge-based economy through empowering programs and partnerships. She extended gratitude to partners, sponsors, volunteers, educators, and staff for their unwavering support.

The competition not only showcased the entrepreneurial prowess of Bahrain’s youth but also underscored the Kingdom’s dedication to cultivating a culture of innovation and enterprise. As the winners gear up to represent Bahrain at the regional level, they carry with them the hopes and aspirations of a nation invested in their success.
