Tamkeen and BENEFIT enable faster enterprise payments via Fawateer

Sep 9, 2025

The Labour Fund Tamkeen is offering Enterprise Support customers enhanced payment processing through Fawateer in collaboration with BENEFIT, Bahrain’s electronic network for financial transactions. Tamkeen’s update on 10 September 2025 confirms a faster flow for Enterprise Support requests, with processing time cut by about half, partial or full invoice settlement, and lighter documentation that relies on service-completion reports and product photos, as detailed in Tamkeen’s announcement and echoed in BizBahrain’s report and the Daily Tribune ePaper.

The rollout lands in a busy month for enterprise enablement. HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman chaired Tamkeen’s Q3 Board of Directors meeting on 14 September 2025 and directed work on the 2026–2030 operational strategy focused on Bahrainis’ competitiveness, enterprise growth, and digital transformation, as reported by the Bahrain News Agency. Ongoing employer outcomes through the month are tracked on Tamkeen’s press archive.

Fawateer sits within Bahrain’s Electronic Fund Transfer System alongside Fawri and Fawri+. BENEFIT describes Fawateer as the national EBPP hub that links banks and billers on one platform with direct bill payment and direct debit, outlined on the Fawateer product page. The Central Bank of Bahrain lists Fawateer within the Kingdom’s payment and settlement infrastructure with consolidated bill views and quick online settlement for registered billers on its Payment & Settlement page. Market usage is deepening. BENEFIT reported roughly 242.7 million EFTS transactions across Fawri, Fawri+, and Fawateer in the first half of 2025, highlighted on BENEFIT’s media centre and covered by Daily Tribune.

“Tamkeen prioritizes improving service quality for both individuals and enterprises by adopting innovative solutions that drive ongoing development and digital transformation. Through our ongoing partnership with Benefit, we reaffirm our dedication to supporting a culture of digital transformation and utilizing advanced technology to provide seamless, highly efficient and distinguished customer experiences,” said Ali Al Hayki, Chief Financial Officer at Tamkeen, in remarks carried by BizBahrain.

For Bahrain’s founders and finance teams, the impact is practical. Faster verification and fewer attachments reduce back-and-forth on Enterprise Support claims, while partial payments can match cash-flow realities during project delivery. The move aligns with Tamkeen’s 2025 focus on enterprise enablement and operational efficiency, and it leverages national infrastructure governed by the Central Bank of Bahrain and operated by BENEFIT.

Next step: review the billing and document guidelines in Tamkeen’s Fawateer announcement, align your invoice formats to the EBPP fields described on BENEFIT’s Fawateer overview, and time your next milestone claim so disbursements clear on the faster timetable now available.
