Have you ever been frustrated at the lack of resources for finding private tutors to help you in case you need to brush up on a topic or learn something new? Meet Daresni, the solution to your dilemma: a tutor and coach booking platform where users can book private lessons in Bahrain, founded by Hana Al Tareif.

Hana started off just as frustrated when she couldn’t find a French tutor for a student that was looking for extra support in the subject. After hours of searching, Hana eventually found two tutors, where one was charging a fortune just for a one-hour session. That’s when she realized there’s a gap in the market and she decided to do something about it.

Daresni, meaning “teach me” in Arabic, was founded in 2018, and offers a space for teachers to connect with students and to offer their services to those who are interested. Daresni branched out of academics into offering a variety of sports lessons like martial arts, boxing, swimming, tennis, and more!

The transparent platform makes it easy to find, book, and pay for educational sessions in advance with no registration or yearly fees. Daresni creates matches with teachers for a long term partnership to support families in their educational journeys.

Daresni also empowers tutors by offering them a chance to utilize their knowledge and make a living out of it. Tutors can register with Daresni’s easy-to-use platform, where they can share their level of certification, their specialty, and chargeable amount per hour.

One of the biggest challenges that Hana faced is learning web development and management. She decided to learn web development herself, and embraced the “teach me” concept of the booking platform. “Learning about web-development and management was one of the initial challenges that I had to overcome quickly to compete in this industry. However, I truly believe that there is nothing that can not be learned (hence, Daresni),” said Hana.

In the first three months of operation, Daresni has recruited 85+ teachers and coaches that were looking to market their services. “Families and students that required assistance in their educational journeys now have a platform to use to find suitable tutors and coaches in a few moments, reducing the stress of the search,” said Hana.

Within the next five years, Daresni hopes to expand and reach to the GCC market, having already received interest, and is viewed as the leading educational booking platform in Bahrain.
