Have you experienced one of those days when you really needed something for a short period of time, like a GoPro camera to take cool shots on your next trip to Thailand or a dress to glam up for your cousin’s wedding but didn’t want to commit to paying the full amount? Well, that’s possible with BorrowBlob.
BorrowBlob (previously known as TajiRent) is a P2P renting/sharing platform, that not only lets users to buy and sell things they need but to rent out things as well. Making it easier and convenient and most importantly less expensive for you! The startup participated in C5’s Cloud10 Scalerator program due to its dynamic team and their experience and flexibility with startups. Founder of BorrowBlob, Zaid Mohsin Kidwai said “They have a great program that really provides holistic support to start-ups, whether its general guidance or funding or even on-ground support in setting up operations. Definitely very hands-on with all their cohort members.”
According to Zaid, the inspiration for BorrowBlob stemmed from his own plight of wanting a drill machine to hang a picture but just did not think it was worth purchasing one just to drill a hole. So instead, he ended up borrowing a drill from a relative. “So that was the ‘eureka’ moment, why not have a platform accessible to all and for more items, like camping gear or wheelchairs or speakers.” he added.
You could rent out stuff to fulfill your need for the moment and keep it as long as you need it for. BorrowBlob also encourages users to rent out things they don’t use or left in the drawers for too long, this way they can make money without much effort.
Open up your drawers and storage room and start listing your things on BorrowBlob by heading over to their website.
