If you have a brilliant business idea but struggling to find funding, now is the best moment for action. The AIM Startup team comes to Bahrain on November 29 to personally select the next big industry disruptors to incubate.
In cooperation with Riyadat and the Bahrain Business Incubator Center (BBIC), AIM Startup organizes a pitch competition in Manama as part of its traditional GCC tour. The regional winners, up to five per country, will represent their nations at the 2018 Annual Event in the UAE in April.
The theme of the AIM Startup 2018 is ”Technology For Sustainable Development And Inclusive Growth”. The event will bring together under one roof about 200 ambitious startups from the GCC region and beyond. They will have three days to showcase their work to an international audience consisting of business angels, industry experts, corporations, etc. The most promising startups will make it to the next stage. They will have two days to present their business plans to a jury panel in the presence of venture capitalists and investors. The finalists will divide a cash prize of US$50,000.
The event also includes workshops and professional coaching sessions held by industry leaders. It also features meeting rooms for networking and discussions. In addition to that, there will be a one-day conference dedicated to the latest trends and future technologies. The speakers include Abdul Baset Al Janahi, the CEO of Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Dubai SME, Abhishek Sharma, the Founder of Foundation Holdings, H.E. Ali Majeed Al Mansoori, the Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, Aman Merchant, the CEO and Co-founder of Impact Hub Abu Dhabi, John Tamny, a Political-Economic Editor at Forbes, and many more.
