Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) and KPMG Lower Gulf (KPMG LG) are launching the second edition of FinTech Abu Dhabi Innovation Challenge to identify new solutions and ideas for the region’s FinTech sector.
The inaugural event last year attracted over 166 FinTech startups from 39 nations. This year, the event will focus on collating real case studies in using and implementing FinTech solutions across the UAE, which includes government organizations and regulators.
As a part of this challenge, UAE based institutions will collaborate with ADGM to identify issues that can be resolved with FinTech. ADGM and KPMG LG will invite local as well as global FinTech entrepreneurs to send out applications to work with companies. Hereafter, there will be a selection of applicants that are going to be paired with companies to develop solutions that are ready to use. The final day of the demo will be carried out during the annual FinTech Abu Dhabi Summit (FinTech AD) on September 17, 2018, at Abu Dhabi where the final product will be presented in front of FinTech institutions and startups.
The applicants will have an opportunity to set up their base and operation at ADGM’s Innovation Centre’s co-working space. They will also get access to the UAE FinTech market by getting a chance to showcase their solutions during the FinTech AD 2018. KPMG LG will expand its operations of Digital Village to the Middle East and will work from ADGM’s Innovation Centre. This platform initially set up in Singapore, supports startups in their transition and equips them to handle corporate clients with latest solutions.
