Aion Digital, a leading FinTech firm in the Gulf region, has committed to investing $1 million in Young FinTech Professionals Program for Bahraini graduates.
Just in case you haven’t heard about the program yet, the Young FinTech Professional Program is a new youth initiative designed to encourage and help young professionals to tap into exciting job prospects in the burgeoning domain of financial technology.
This is in continuation of Aion’s efforts to establish itself as a pioneering FinTech platform in the region. The company was recently awarded the prestigious title of “one of the most exciting and innovative global FinTech startup” by FinTech Abu Dhabi.
The company is now on a mission to further enhance its clout by developing a national talent pool in FinTech and digital transformation.
In phase-1 of the Young FinTech Professional Program, 10 dynamic Bahraini graduates will be handpicked for full time employment. As part of the process, these young talents will gain exposure to a wide range of technology buildout labs, quality mentoring, as well as hands-on-experience with clients.
The ultimate objective of the program is to help create skilled and innovative Bahraini thought leaders who will spearhead the ongoing digital transformation in the region.
Speaking of the new initiative, Osama Al Khajah, founding partner and board member at Aion, stated: “We expect 70% of the existing banking skill set to be redundant within the next decade. At the same time, there is tremendous demand for futuristic skills in mobile, cloud, data and artificial intelligence. The aim of the Young Fintech Professional Program is to prepare GCC youths to be at the forefront of the digital era.”
