Bahraini telecom giant Batelco has announced that the company achieved the ISO Certification in Business Continuity (ISO 22301:2012) following a rigorous auditing process by Bureau Veritas.
The new certification was awarded to IT Units (Operations, Development, and Support) and Network Units encompassing network development, Network Operation Centre, Access Network, Core NGN & IP Transmission, Power O&M Development, Cyber Security Operation Centre, Mobile Core & VAS, and Radio Access.
For those who don’t know, the ISO 22301 certification stands for a comprehensive standard representing the highest level of commitment to disaster preparedness and business continuity. Additionally, it also reflects an organization’s ability to provide reliable services to consumers.
Batelco attributes this success to a team effort spearheaded by a collective of experienced staff under the guidance of the company’s internal Business Continuity team. Each member of the team worked tirelessly to make sure that Batelco met all the requirements prescribed under the global ISO standard.
“Achieving ISO Certification demonstrates that we take business continuity seriously and are committed to providing best in class service to our customers. Batelco always emphasizes its commitments to the regulatory commitments of the TRA,” said Batelco Bahrain CEO, Mohamed Bubashait, while appreciating the team effort that brought this new success to the company.
