The December edition of the Arabian Business StartUp-SME Academy starts on the 6th of December. The theme will be ”Success: Strategies and Case Studies.” There is no entrance fee, and everyone who wants to hear more about the success strategies of some of UAE’s most prominent entrepreneurs is welcome.

The organizing committee just revealed an impressive list of speakers, including Maaz Sheikh, CEO of Starz Play, Paul Kenny, Managing Director of AYM Commerce, Dr. Jalal Saleh Al Hadhrami, Executive Chairman and Founder of Celebrity Global Holdings (CGH), and Alper Celen, a seasoned entrepreneur, founder of Mobile Monday Dubai and Riyadh.Maaz Sheikh will share the story of his first capital raising of US$125 million. In a live interview on stage, he will also highlight the importance of offering a new product on the market. Sheikh will also share some thoughts on successful business strategies and market positioning.

All the entrepreneurs in the Middle East know who Paul Kenny is. He is an inspiring lecturer and motivator, and recently won the Arabian Business StartUp winner of the Mentor of the Year award. Kenny will not talk about business plans and pitching to investors in a traditional way. He would rather touch upon the notion of success in business. He will explain what the reasons, habits, and strategies are that define a company as successful.

As we are all aware, access to funding is the main obstacle to every young entrepreneur in the Middle East and beyond. Dr. Jalal Saleh Al Hadhrami, a prominent venture capitalist, and business angel will discuss what kind of startups are most likely to attract his attention. In addition to that, he agreed to answer questions from the public.

Entrepreneurs willing to expand their activities to Saudi Arabia will find the lecture by Alper Celen, an MIT alumni, very useful. The Saudi market, comprised of 32 million consumers is a long-term dream for many business owners. Many would like to enter it, but only a few succeed. Due to some specifics, the market is not easy to enter, but it is not impossible. Alper Celen will provide some useful tips and advice on what strategies to apply for a successful outcome.
