Online travel marketplace Wego has signed an agreement with Gulf Air. Wego is one of the largest online travel marketplaces in the MENA region, and will immensely benefit from this new partnership as it brings them detailed information about the airline’s booking capabilities and other flight-related information.
As of today, Gulf Air serves 42 cities across 25 countries. It offers double daily flights or more to a number of cities across MENA, the Indian subcontinent, and Europe. Among other perks, the airline also offers convenient connectivity to passengers traveling across its network via the sophisticated Bahrain International Airport hub.
It is worth noting that the new tie-up has come at a right time, as Gulf Air is all set to introduce 39 new Boeing and Airbus aircraft to its fleet. So naturally, the company is eying to expand its network, in addition to enhancing its various products and services.
“Our agreement with Gulf Air reinforces Wego’s leading position in the Middle East and we are thrilled to partner with such a highly regarded and well-established carrier,” commented Dean Wicks, Chief Flights Officer of Wego.
He added, “Wego will distribute Gulf Air flights, pricing and schedule information across our extensive marketing channels, allowing travelers easy access to flights with an airline that is famous for its traditional Arabian hospitality and renowned for being family and business friendly.”
Wego shot into fame last year after implementing Progressive Web App (PWA) technology, combined with Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP), which helped it emerge as the fastest loading mobile marketplace in the world.
Wego is currently one of the most popular travel apps in Google Play and App Store.
