Amazon Web Services (AWS) has come aboard on the ongoing efforts of the Bahraini public and private sectors to encourage a more active role by women in the technology sector. Together with C5 Nebula, the cloud computing giant is organizing an event to further the agenda of enhancing the role of women in tech companies.

To be held at Wyndham Grand Manama, the event dubbed AWS We Power Tech will kick off at 10:00 AM on Sep 29, 2018, with registration, breakfast, and a brief networking session.

Up next, there will be a welcome address by the organizers, which will be followed by the key attraction for the day — a fireside chat featuring Teresa Carlson, Vice President, Worldwide Public Sector, AWS. There will also be a series of roundtables led by mentors from the AWS and C5 Nebula.

“These collaborative roundtables will seek participants’ input and recommendations on how to tackle some of the issues and challenges facing women in technology, and the broader workforce, in Bahrain and across the region,” AWS mentioned on the event page.

As for participants, anybody willing to be a part of the movement seeking a more significant role for women in the technology sector can attend the event and mingle with other like-minded individuals.
