In celebration of Bahraini Women’s Day on December 1, Bahrain Islamic Bank (BisB) has unveiled its latest initiative, “On Her Path,” in partnership with CFA Society Bahrain. The program aims to empower Bahraini women by enhancing their professional skills and preparing them for leadership roles in Islamic banking and beyond.

Thirteen female mentors from BisB will lead the initiative, offering hands-on guidance to participants across specialized fields within the bank. Scheduled to run from January to October 2025, the 10-month mentorship program is designed to foster knowledge-sharing, skill-building, and professional growth. A graduation ceremony is planned for November 2025 to celebrate the achievements of the participants.

Acting CEO of BisB, Ms. Fatema AlAlawi, emphasized the bank’s dedication to promoting equal opportunities:
“Our goal is to provide Bahraini women with the tools and expertise they need to advance their careers, strengthen Bahrain’s position as a financial hub, and contribute to sustainable economic growth. This program embodies our commitment to supporting women through innovative and impactful initiatives.”

As Bahrain’s first Islamic banking institution, BisB remains at the forefront of championing inclusion and equity in the workplace. The “On Her Path” initiative is yet another testament to the bank’s commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and innovation while contributing to the Kingdom’s vision of an inclusive and progressive society.
