The award ceremony for the 13th edition of Injaz Al Arab’s flagship annual entrepreneurship competition is now over. As expected, the widely anticipated competition witnessed fierce competition from 19 teams from across MENA.
Prices in various categories were up for grabs, including Company of the Year award, Product of the Year award, Social Impact award.
In total, more than 80 students from Oman, UAE, Bahrain, Algeria, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Egypt Tunisia, Palestine, Qatar, Yemen, and Palestine participated in the competition. The audience and jury panel comprised more than 400 people in total and they included senior government officials, business leaders, ambassadors, and eminent public figures.
Al Fazaa, one of the competitors representing Bahrain, won two awards including Product of the Year and The Boeing Stem Challenge Award, in addition to being nominated in three other categories.
“We are honored to have represented the Kingdom of Bahrain at the annual young entrepreneur competition. Our success reflects the outstanding performance and innovativeness of our students and their will to reach new heights and push the boundaries of excellence,” said Ms. Hana Sarwani, Executive Director at INJAZ Bahrain.
She also promised: “INJAZ Bahrain will continue to invest in innovation to prepare Bahraini youth for the world of business.”
The panel of judges included representatives from some of the most well-known brands from all over the world including Mastercard, ExxonMobil, Expertise France, H+K Strategies, Kijamii, Investcorp, MBC Group, MetLife, FedEx, Citi Foundation, Boeing, McKinsey and Ithmar Invest PSC.
