Bahrain Fashion Incubator (BFI), the first of its kind incubator and accelerator program focused exclusively on fashion startups, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Maison De Joelle Bahrain. Per the MoU, Maison de Joelle will be the Beauty Sponsor for BFI’s Dilmun Star program.
For those of you not familiar with it, Maison de Joelle is a popular chain of luxury salons, It was founded by Joelle Mardinian, one of the most prominent businesswomen in the region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The MoU also prepares the ground for future collaborations between the two entities.
BFI’s Dilmun Star has a total of 20 participants who will receive extensive practical training in different aspects of fashion designing including the commercial side of building and nurturing a fashion startup. The program spans nine-months, with the current batch expected to graduate at the end of June 2020.
Under the new partnership, Maison De Joelle Bahrain will organize a Glam Workshop as part of Dilmun Star. The workshop will delve into the nitty-gritty of how to apply an appropriate amount of makeup to add more aesthetic appeal naturally.
“BFI is pleased to sign this partnership with Maison De Joelle Bahrain as it will provide our participants with the necessary professional knowledge they need about selecting the right Makeup and hair for the models which is one of the most important aspects of the fashion industry,” said Jalila Aarab, the founder and chief executive at BFI after announcing the new partnership with Maison.
Additionally, professionals from Maison De Joelle will also guide Dilmun Star participants in the art of choosing the best makeup for photoshoots.
