Raed App has been named one of the 10 promising startups to have won $100,000 follow-on funding from the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology. Raed was selected because of the impact it has made in the EdTech sector with its mobile app dedicated to making learning fun for kids aged between 4-12 years.
Each learning session on the platform has a limited number of kids — typically no more than six to eight. And each live session is one-hour long, giving the teachers enough time to tend to individual participants as and when required.
The weekly live learning sessions include various activities such as science experiments, English speaking, storytelling, and so on.
For those unaware, Raed started with a single program called Hakawatyy that later convinced the team behind the platform about the growing need for making learning more fun among young students.SEE ALSO
As Raed embarked on the journey to fulfill that market demand, it started getting support from KAUST and the Taqadam program.
