Bahrain’s innovative startups took center stage at the esteemed LEAP 2024 conference held at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center. The event, spanning four days, witnessed the unveiling of 14 cutting-edge Bahraini technology companies, ushering in a new era of collaboration and advancement in the region’s tech sphere.

The inauguration of the Kingdom of Bahrain Pavilion was graced by the presence of His Excellency, the Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, Mr. Mohamed bin Thamer Al Kaabi. Joined by prominent dignitaries including Mr. Ibrahem AlNasser, the Deputy Minister of Technology in Saudi Arabia, Mr. Tareq Fakhroo, Chairman of the Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTECH), and Mr. Khalid AlBayat, Chief Growth Officer at Tamkeen, the event marked a significant milestone in Bahrain’s journey towards technological excellence.

Amidst the bustling halls of Hall 5, global ICT sector officials and decision-makers embarked on a journey through the Bahraini pavilion, meticulously curated to showcase the innovation and ingenuity of the participating companies. From ThinkSmart for Development and Training to Almoayyed Computer Middle East, each entity presented its unique contributions to the burgeoning tech landscape, supported by Tamkeen.

Mr. Tareq Fakhroo, Chairman of BTECH, hailed the collaborative efforts aimed at advancing Bahrain’s ICT sector, underscoring the pivotal role of His Excellency the Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications and Tamkeen in fostering growth and development. He emphasized the significance of uniting Bahraini technology entities under one roof, fostering dialogue and collaboration to propel the sector forward.

Speaking to the press, Mr. Fakhroo expressed optimism regarding potential partnerships and agreements forged during the event, highlighting Bahraini companies’ ability to showcase a globally competitive model. The high turnout at the Bahrain National Pavilion signaled a promising trajectory, drawing enthusiasts and investors alike.
