Telecom giant Batelco has received a new ISO certificate in Information Security (ISO 27001:2013) from Certification Bureau Veritas. The certification applies to multiple units including Telecom Network and IT, Data Centers, Retail Operations, Cyber Security Operations, and Wholesale Operations.

Batelco announced that the expanded Information Security Certification now includes a wider scope recommended by an audit. The company’s Chief Executive Mohamed Bubashait in a recent statement said that Batelco is keen on helping its employees boost their competence in information security and other important aspects of work.

Bubashait added that the expanded ISO certification is a testimony to the company’s commitment to ensuring privacy and digital security of its customers.

“Furthermore, Batelco is also keen to comply with international standards and regulations announced by the TRA,” he commented.
