The Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance has teamed up with Binance Academy to deliver blockchain and crypto training, positioning Bahrain as a talent hub for Fintech and Web3 skills.
Under the agreement, BIBF and Binance Academy will run workshops, hackathons and certification courses aimed at professionals, students and enthusiasts. Dr Ahmed Al Shaikh, BIBF Director, said the partnership supports the institute’s mission to deliver industry-ready education, while Binance Bahrain General Manager Tameem Al-Moosawi noted that building local expertise will strengthen the kingdom’s leadership in Fintech. Binance’s presence in Bahrain has grown since 2021, when its local entity became the first crypto-asset service provider to secure a Central Bank of Bahrain Category 4 licence, allowing full-suite exchange operations. The new training track will draw on Binance Academy’s global curriculum and BIBF’s regional network to cover blockchain fundamentals, smart-contract development and regulatory compliance. Bahrain’s regulators have identified Fintech as a strategic sector, and the partnership aligns with national goals to diversify economic activity and create skilled jobs. By combining BIBF’s pedagogy with Binance Academy’s technical content, the programme aims to bridge the skills gap that often slows adoption of blockchain solutions across banking, payments and government services.
“We are delighted to partner with Binance Academy to offer professionals access to world-class blockchain and crypto training,” said Dr Al Shaikh.
Registration details for upcoming courses will be announced soon on the BIBF website.
