In a strategic move that could further expand its reach in the Middle Eastern market, ride-hailing app Careem has entered a new partnership with Rehlat, one of the region’s leading online travel apps. The new deal entitles users to Careem’s services straight from the Rehlat app.

Among other perks, this new addition will enable Rehlat customers to conveniently book Careem rides from the airport in a city they are visiting. To sweeten the deal, Careem is also offering Rehlat users a discount of up to 50% in their next two rides to or from the airport.

“We are striving to work with Careem to facilitate services for our users in order to make our innovative solutions more suitable for their needs,” said Bader Al Roudan, Chief business officer of Rehlat. He added: “Extra benefits to our esteemed customers have always been a priority for us at Rehlat and we are always looking to offer convenience in the form of safe, hassle-free transportation from the start to the end of their journey.”

Rajeev Bhattacharjee, Rehlat’s Vice President of for global business development, chipped in by saying that the new addition to its app will be available across all cities where Careem operates. He added on an optimistic note that it “will help users to stay in the ecosystem of Rehlat and handle all their travel needs in a go.”

Accessing the new in-app Careem services is easy too. Rehlat users need to log into their updated app where they will see a new “Cabs” feature on the bottom left. Once they enter their Careem username and password as prompted, they will be able to enter the departure and arrival destinations, as well as select a cab category of their preference.
