The new development was confirmed by none other than Jerome Akel, the Country Manager responsible for spearheading Carrefour’s campaign in the Kingdom. He stated that the new app will make it a lot easier and more convenient for users to browse through and purchase more than 4,000 products available on the platform.
Along with a strong emphasis on timely home-delivery, Carrefour now finds itself in an ideal position to tap in on the growing use of e-commerce in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis.
Speaking on the occasion, Akel elaborated: “At Carrefour, we’re pleased with the variety of shopping experiences we are able to provide for our customers. We make sure that through inventive thinking and effectively responding to customer demands, Carrefour can connect with customers on multiple platforms and meets them where they are.”
He added, “We are confident the new app will provide our shoppers across the country with a convenient option as they browse our offering from the comfort of home.”
If you are not yet familiar with Carrefour, the platform offers a wide range of grocery and household items. It is currently gearing up to expand that list to include other product categories such as textiles, electronics, and fresh food items, to name a few.
Additionally, the company is also offering membership for its MyCLUB community-cum-loyalty program that includes various perks such as loyalty points, members-only discounts, and vouchers.
