CTM360 was measured and reviewed across multiple factors in the field of security practices before membership was granted. Moreover, the FIRST membership qualification process works from nominations from at least two existing members of FIRST sponsors. This is followed by a detailed audit process and approval by FIRST Steering Committee.
Various computer security incident response teams from government CERTs, private CIRTs, commercial institutions and educational organizations come together to be a part of the FIRST network which aims to foster collaboration in preventing security incidents and encourage sharing information among the members.
