Dubai’s pioneering digital dental health platform, Udenz, is celebrating a groundbreaking milestone as it successfully closes a $5 million Series A funding round, setting a precedent for dental startups in the MENA region. The funding was backed by a Performance Guarantee and led by prominent UAE-based venture capital firms, including Hakim Capital Holding, Techcelerate Investments LLC, Inspira Management, and Dubai Business Corporation.

Since its inception at AEEDC 2016, the largest dental event in Dubai, Udenz has evolved from a simple listing and appointment booking platform to the MENA region’s first-ever ultra dental platform. Integrating 26 services into one, Udenz has managed over 100,000 dentist search requests and confirmed more than 5,000 appointments. With nearly 8,000 dentists now listed in its database, the platform has become a go-to resource for dental care across the region.

With this new influx of funding, Udenz is gearing up to offer Dental Ultra Platform Services free of charge to over 50,000 dentists throughout MENA. Operating under a freemium model, this innovative service promises to revolutionize dental clinic management and patient data applications, creating a new era of streamlined dental care.

Dr. Hisham Safadi, the Founder of Udenz, expressed his excitement about the funding, stating, “We’re thrilled to spearhead the first ultra dental platform in MENA. This significant investment will empower us to build on our vision to revolutionize dental services, making them more accessible and effective for both practitioners and patients. It’s a validation of our efforts and a catalyst for our future growth.”

With the global dental market projected to reach a staggering $610 billion in 2023, according to Grand View Research, Udenz is strategically positioned to capitalize on the industry’s tremendous growth potential. By simplifying practitioner operations and enhancing patient experiences, Udenz is paving the way for better dental management and positive cash flow.

Dr. Saad Al Jaibeji, Managing Director of Techcelerate Investments, commended Udenz as a quintessential example of Dubai and the UAE’s innovation spirit, saying: “This startup, born in Dubai’s Silicon Oasis, nurtured by In5 Dubai Internet City, and matured within Dubai International Financial City’s FintechHive, exemplifies the limitless potential within UAE’s vibrant startup ecosystem. It’s a testament to the entrepreneurial zeal that Dubai and the UAE inspire and support.”

With a valuation of $2 million before the funding round, Udenz’s remarkable Series A funding is set to propel the company to even greater heights. Their operations spans Umm Al Quwain, Casablanca, to Muscat, and Udenz is reshaping the dental healthcare landscape in MENA, making dental care more accessible and affordable for all.
