Global Payment Services (GPS), the FinTech company that touts itself as one of the world’s largest providers of third-party payment processing services, has announced a new foray aimed at offering a modern and sophisticated mobile payment solution. The new product, according to the company’s general manager Ali Arab, is based on a tokenized platform equipped with a very high level of security measures.

Arab made the revelation during a GPS event at the iconic Four Seasons Hotel (Bahrain Bay). He said that not only will the new offering safeguard sensitive personal and financial data using an added layer of protection, but it will also allow customers to make payments without exposing their bank details.

Arab also took the opportunity to announce that GPS plans on setting up new premises in the Seef District by the end of this year. If all goes as per plan, the move will consolidate all GPS operations under the same roof, thereby making its internal processes and dynamics more efficient.

The event also saw the company’s chairman Yousif Ali Mirza confirming that GPS is embarking on a three-year strategy that involves a lot of flexing geographically (especially within the Middle East). On top of that, the company also wants to introduce newer and more appealing payment technologies within this three-year period, Mirza added.
