There’s an exciting opportunity waiting for Middle East-based high-tech startups. The German-Saudi Arabian Liaison Office for Economic Affairs (GESALO) is conducting a high-profile international roadshow called Start.Up! Germany Pitch Night in October this year, and is asking startups from the region to apply to be a part of it.

Applicants must be in the market testing phase and specialize in one of the following industrial tracks: Smart City, InsurTech, and Logistics & Mobility. The last date for submitting applications is August 15, 2018.

The shortlisted applicants will require to pitch in front of a panel of experts from eminent German, Bahraini, and Saudi institutions on September 6. The participants with the best pitches will get the chance to partake in a one-week, guided startup tour in several German cities.

The guided tour will begin on October 5 and it will traverse through Berlin, Dusseldorf, Cologne, and the Ruhr Area. Adding more charm to the deal, the organizers have promised to cover most of the expenses including those for program management, accommodation, admission to RuhrSummit, and transportation to and within Germany.

The roadshow is expected to feature somewhere around 40 startups from at least 15 countries across the world.
