Over 250 startups are currently preparing to participate in one of the most prestigious startup pitch competition in the Middle East and North Africa. Yes, we are referring to the forthcoming edition of the AIM Startup Pitch Competition 2020, to be held on the sidelines of the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) 10.0.

The iconic Dubai World Trade Center will be hosting the event from March 24 to 26 under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Just in case you have never had the opportunity to attend any of the previous AIM startup pitch competitions, it brings the startups in the region an excellent opportunity to demonstrate their products and business ideas to people from the top hierarchies of global business order. These may include business leaders from Fortune 500 companies, some of the world’s largest VC firms and angel investors, top government officials, fellow entrepreneurs, and so on.

“AIM offers an opportunity for participating startups to increase their early-stage venture capital or receive seed funding to start a business or expand its scope, given the crucial role startups play in strengthening new industries,” said Dawood Al Shezawi, chairman of the organizing committee of the AIM 2020.

Worth noting here is that AIM Startup Award will comprise five different categories including Growth, Innovation, Social Impact, Climate and Environmental Impact, and Privacy and Data Protection.

Winners will receive lucrative cash rewards in addition to all the support and mentorship to secure funding from regional and global investors.
