Ride-hailing behemoth Careem is now officially an ally of Bahrain FinTech Bay (BFB), one of the first and largest dedicated financial technology hubs in the Middle East and Africa. The direct beneficiary of this new tie-up will be Bahrain FinTech Bay visitors as they will be entitled to a slew of deals and offers while using Careem’s services to commute to and from the facility located conveniently at the Arcapita Building in Manama.
Initially, Careem is giving away two different promo codes, both valid for new, as well as existing users:
- NEWFINTECHBAY: 50% discount on two rides for new Careem users. Offer is valid for a maximum discount of up to 2 BHD per trip.
- FINTECHBAY: 15% discount on all rides for existing Careem users. Offer is valid for a maximum discount of 1 BHD per trip.
Speaking of the company’s decision to join forces with the Bahrain FinTech Bay, Khaled Nuseibeh, General Manager of Careem GCC, said: “We aim to support innovation in the region, working with entities such as Bahrain FinTech Bay and fulfilling their needs as well as the needs of their visitors enable us to be part of their journey that will impact our journey positively.”
Meanwhile, Khalid Saad, CEO of Bahrain FinTech Bay, reacted to this new development by issuing a statement: “We are pleased to announce our partnership with Careem. We value supporting companies that are operating in Bahrain and believe this collaboration will be mutually beneficial and add value to our partners, residents, and anyone going to and from Bahrain FinTech Bay.”
Worth noting here is that Careem currently prides being the only tech unicorn in the region. With a presence in 14 countries in MENA and South Asia, the ride-hailing company currently serves more than 100 global cities.
