As part of its mission of connecting communities with knowledge, Oman’s leading knowledge-sharing platform, Knowledge Oman (KO), is launching the third free seminar on educating the public on the means of getting money to start and run a business successfully in Oman under the theme ‘Funding Your Business’.
The primary aim of this seminar is to educate the general public on how to access funds to run a business. The free event starts on November 13 at the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) training center.
Sponsored by the PACA, Mazoon Printing and Gloria Jeans, the event is part of the initiatives KO undertakes to contribute to the nation’s economic growth and to empower the youth to start their own businesses.
During the first seminar of the series, some successful Omani business owners shared their experiences with the future entrepreneurs and inspired them to take the initiative and start their businesses. The second one will be dedicated to the sensitive topic of funding and what are the best ways to find it.
Five experienced entrepreneurs will join the panel discussions to educate the future generation about all the financial opportunities. In addition to that, the representatives of leading funding entities will present the options they offer for startups and small businesses.
Amongst the speakers, there is Rajesh Ghosh, Head of Marketing and Business Development of SME Development Fund, Ali al Lawati, the Head of Emerging and SME Corporates at Bank Muscat, and Amira al Zadjali, Deputy Director General of Planning and Development, Al Raffd.
Panelists include Salwa al Ghagri, owner of Salwa Beauty Centre, Rawan al Zakwani, owner of The Palace Restaurant, Fahd al Saqri, CEO and Co-founder of Basta Majan, Iman al Amri, owner of Muscatia, and Adel al Abri, one of the owners of National High Tide Enterprises.
