His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), met with His Excellency Lieutenant General Doctor Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health.

His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to investing in local talent employed across all sectors. His Highness stated that this is achieved through the launch of various strategic initiatives which will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality and long-term sustainability of healthcare services, recognising the sector as a fundamental pillar in Bahrain’s continued development under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and in accordance with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

During the meeting, His Highness also issued directives to strengthen collaboration between Tamkeen and the Supreme Council of Health and launch a new support package aimed at developing and training national talent within the healthcare sector. This includes providing support for more than 750 Bahrainis, including doctors and nurses, to further improve capabilities and strengthen the sector’s workforce.

 His Highness emphasised that empowering national talent across all sectors remains a strategic priority, with dedicated resources and concerted efforts to help achieve this objective. His Highness reiterated the ongoing commitment to developing robust training and employment pathways that support the professional growth of Bahraini citizens and position them as the leading candidates in the labour market. In addition to advancing individual growth, this initiative serves as a catalyst for national progress and economic prosperity.

 For his part, His Excellency Lieutenant General Doctor Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health, expressed his appreciation for the royal support of Bahrain’s healthcare sector through the unwavering backing it receives from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

 His Excellency also commended the contributions of His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa in providing comprehensive support that enhances the training and development of national talent across different  sectors, including healthcare. These efforts align closely with the Supreme Council of Health’s ongoing efforts to foster a supportive healthcare environment, encourage innovation, and implement strategic initiatives that strengthen service efficiency, and ensure the sustainability of resources.

 Her Excellency Dr Jaleela bint Alsayed Jawad the Minister of Health, His Excellency Mr. Hamad bin Faisal Al Malki, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Her Excellency Ms. Maha Abdulhameed Mofeez, Tamkeen Chief Executive, along with a number of officials, also attended the meeting.
