Jordan-based agricultural technology startup Nestrom has announced that it wrapped up a new round of seed funding by a number of companies including 500 Startups, Agrimatico, Wamda Capital, and Propeller Inc., just to name a few.

The startup had previously raised pre-seed investment, from Propeller after going through their acceleration program last year.

Widely recognized as one of the most promising tech startups to have come out of Jordan. As it was launched in 2017 by Co-Founders Kanaan Manasrah, Shadi Al Shalabi, and Yousef Wadi, Nestrom has developed different products to help farm managers digitize their operations. The company operates with the vision of transforming traditional agriculture sector into a more sophisticated and highly efficient version of itself.

To make this happen, Nestrom has developed a suite of Software as a Solution (SaaS) and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) products.

Among its diverse range of software solutions includes a Farm Management software, that enables farm managers to monitor detailed information about each individual field and prepare reports accordingly; a Workforce Management System that tracks the movement of open field workers and the time spent in each zone; and Online connected Sensors for various purposes, just to name a few.

Speaking of the latest seed funding, Yousef Wadi the company’s Co-Founder and Chief Executive said: “We are happy to secure our early investment post acceleration and investment by Propeller which provided product and strategic support to go from ideation to market within only a year.”

“Our new round also involves strategic investments from Agrimatico and angels who are major players in agriculture which highly validates the value Nestorm has provided so far,” he added.
