Kuwait Achievers for Future Opportunities (KAFO) is teaming up with 500 Startups to introduce a number of networking opportunities that the youth of Kuwait can use to connect with experts from Silicon Valley and learn from their experiences of launching and nurturing technology startups.
Being based in Silicon Valley itself, global startup fund 500 Startups is in a very accommodating position that gives the new collaboration an added edge.
For those not familiar with KAFO, it is a much-appreciated initiative by Amiri Diwan that aims to help fulfill H.E. the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah‘s vision of a platform for promoting Kuwait’s enormous talent pool in the global arena.
Speaking on the new partnership with 500 Startups, Dr. Youssef Al-Ibraheem, an advisor in the Amiri Diwan, stated: “Our main objective is to help people find achievers in different fields, to exchange knowledge and allow them to work together.”
He added: “Our current platform is at its second iteration and the new version will be released in October of this year. Nevertheless, we are busy connecting people offline, as well, and using other resources to connect great minds. Having 500 Startups in Kuwait is a great opportunity for tech startups, in particular, and we are planning a few activities together.”
Dr. Al-Ibraheem urged the community to stay in tune with KAFO’s social media accounts on @KAFO_KW for further information on the events scheduled later in April 2018.
