The Capital Governorate has officially launched the highly anticipated Ninth Edition of Manama Entrepreneurship Week (MEW) in collaboration with Tamkeen and over 20 other esteemed institutes.

Scheduled to take place from April 21st to 25th, MEW 2024 will revolve around the theme “Smart Cities and Entrepreneurship,” aiming to spotlight the pivotal role of entrepreneurs in driving the evolution of cities into smart, sustainable ecosystems through innovative technologies and concepts.

Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Governor of the Capital Governorate, underscored the significance of MEW as a platform for entrepreneurs, investors, and aspiring young minds to exchange insights, forge partnerships, and explore opportunities for growth. He emphasized that this year’s theme reflects a collective vision to leverage entrepreneurship as a catalyst for urban transformation, in alignment with government initiatives.

The event will feature a diverse lineup of seminars and workshops, in collaboration with prominent entities such as Kuwait Finance House, BMMI, Ebrahim K. Kanoo, and Al Arayedh Group, along with leading academic institutions like the University of Bahrain (UoB) and Bahrain Polytechnic. Additionally, strategic partnerships with organizations like Hope Ventures, ISACA, Bahrain Businesswomen’s Society (BBS), and Global Shapers Community further amplify the event’s impact and reach.

With a focus on fostering smart ecosystems and embracing technological advancements, MEW 2024 aims to empower entrepreneurs to drive positive change and shape the future of cities. Through dynamic discussions and interactive sessions, participants will explore innovative solutions to address urban challenges, paving the way for a more sustainable and resilient future.
