The grand finale of the Bahraini edition of Pitch@Palace was held March 27, 2019, at Four Season Hotel, Manama. The panel judging the final rounds handpicked five top-performing participants who will now compete against other regional winners in the Gulf edition of the prestigious competition.

For those out of the loop, Pitch@Palace, held under the patronage of HRH. Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Chairman of the Economic Development Board and HRH. Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, is one of the top global competitions that provide a platform to emerging entrepreneurs from across the world to prove themselves.

Prince Andrew was greeted by His Excellency Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Chairman of Tamkeen, himself upon the former’s arrival at the venue.

Addressing the attendees comprising renowned business leaders, politicians, entrepreneurs, journalists, and key government officials, Prince Andrew  said: “Pitch@Palace’s partnership with Bahrain matters and we are able to do great things. Our Partnership with Tamkeen is key to this and together we are able to make introductions for Entrepreneurs from Bahrain to the rest of the world and bring Entrepreneurs here to Bahrain.”

During his inaugural speech, HE Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa called Pitch@Palace an exemplary initiative for boosting entrepreneurial culture and support globally. He lauded the platform’s commitment to assisting up-and-coming entrepreneurs through the various stages of growth.

Each of the 12 Bahraini entrepreneurs who qualified for the finale gave 3-minute presentations in which they highlighted their business projects in front of invited guests, technology and media professionals, investors and an expert judging panel.

The Duke of York then announced the winner as follows: Newton’s Apple Science Center, Mavi VR Studios, DocWhere App, WindStorm and Telp.

The Gulf Edition of Pitch@Palace will take place in Bahrain later this year in October.
