It was raining awards for Anghami at the MENA 2018 MMA Smarties Awards announced late last month. The on-demand music streaming company with 70 million users (and counting) bagged not one, not two, but six awards in total.

In the Gold category, Anghami won the Technology of the Year award, with four additional awards for its Nescafe campaign. Then the company went on winning the award for the best Close-up campaign in the Silver category.

Worth noting here is that the campaigns that brought Anghami five awards were produced in collaboration with the company’s exclusive media representative DMS, the digital unit of Choueiri Group.

The music streaming platform bagged the Best Technology of the Year award because of its innovative efforts in mobile marketing powered by a mix of groundbreaking and existing technologies. Meanwhile, the Nescafe campaign won in the Gold awards for the Best in Show, Best Relationship Building/CRM, Best Brand Awareness, and Best Innovation categories.

Commenting on the company’s second consecutive success at the annual MENA MMA Smarties Awards, Hossam El Gamal, Vice President for North Africa at Anghami, said: “We are thrilled to receive these prestigious awards. For the uninitiated, the Smarties Awards is a global awards program that celebrates the best-in-class mobile work from all over the world. It is based on a diverse range of metrics including strategy, creativity, execution, and outcome.
