Batelco has recently announced the launch of its latest initiative to provide free internet services across the Kingdom, in partnership with the Ministry of Works, Municipal Affairs and Urban Planning.

The service will be available to everyone. Batelco customers will automatically connect to the WiFi once they enter the area that is covered by the service, while others will be able to access the free internet through a specialized page.

This will be accessible in several locations including tourist attractions such as Bahrain International Circuit, commercial complexes like Seef Mall Muharraq and Seef Mall Seef District, to name a few, and public facilities.

In the near future, additional locations will be added, including Prince Khalifa Park, Al Estiqlal Park in Riffa, A’ali Walkway, Adhari Park, Tubli Walkway, Al Andalus Park and Al Salmaniya Park.

Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chairman of Batelco said: “Batelco values the directives of His Royal Highness the Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa to provide internet services in public spaces across the Kingdom of Bahrain.”

Adding: “Batelco is committed towards providing Smart City solutions to support the Kingdom’s efforts in maintaining its position in the global marketplace, This initiative reiterates Batelco’s support and commitment towards the Kingdom’s 2030 vision.”
