Startups and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Bahrain will now receive free cybersecurity services to better equip themselves against frauds and hackers. Pentest360, a Bahrain-based tech startup, announced this new initiative in collaboration with the Technology & Business Society (TBS) and the Bahrain Technology Companies Society.
The free services will span over a period of three months. Pentest360 announced that this new initiative is a direct response to the growing threats emanating from cybercriminals in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
As it turns out, as businesses all over the world are forced to turn to the work-from-home set up as a precautionary measure, cybercriminals are trying harder to exploit the loophole emanating from the ensuing confusion.
“The comprehensive approach by Bahrain’s government in the continuous efforts to combat and control the spread of the Corona pandemic has been recognized by many including the World Health Organization (WHO). Along with all Bahrain businesses that are supporting the control of this situation, the EDX Labs family of Cyber Security technologies would also try to do their humble part” – said Mirza Asrar Baig, Chairman of EDX Labs, the platform powering Pentest360.
Additionally, Pentest360 has also committed to hosting webinars periodically to provide training in basic security measures while using personal computers for work/business purposes.
