Buckle up if you are an aspiring entrepreneur in Bahrain looking for an opportunity to break free of the constraints limiting your growth potential. The first edition of Pitch@Palace Bahrain is just around the corner and it promises to help startups from across the Kingdom to connect with investors, mentors, and other potential supporters.
The event is a joint effort by the HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and First Deputy Prime Minister and HRH Prince Andrew, Duke of York in collaboration with Tamkeen.
The Pitch@Palace Bahrain 1.0 is a testimony to the Kingdom’s commitment to promoting innovations within the private sector. The ultimate objective is to raise an innovative and profitable ecosystem of private enterprises that supplement the country’s growing economy.
The Bahraini edition of the event will include the following categories:
- ICT
- Logistics
- Financial Services
- Healthcare
- Manufacturing
- Real Estate
- Tourism.
12 applicants who make it through the initial screening will get a chance to attend the Pitch@Palace Boot Camp in Bahrain. Scheduled in March 2018, the boot camp will provide extensive training to the finalists on various aspects of starting and nurturing a business. These include, but not limited to, how to develop and hone their pitches, as well as how to create a sustainable business model over a period of time.
In the final leg of Pitch@Palace Bahrain 1.0, scheduled on April 5 at the Shaikh Salman bin Ahmed Al Fateh Fort in Riffa, each finalist will give a three-minute pitch to the audience comprising influential industry leaders, investors, media, and key government officials among others.
An audience poll will determine the winners, who will be then invited to Pitch@Palace Global in London, the UK later this year.
