The annual Alumni Forum of Qatar Foundation brought together graduates from across QF’s ecosystem of education, including 13 schools and 7 international partner universities, to build networks and share stories and experiences. The Chairperson of Qatar Foundation, H.H Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, addressed the alumni and emphasised the importance of friendship in advancing innovative ideas and projects. The forum provided an open platform for alumni to voice their challenges directly to decision-makers and discuss solutions for overcoming them.
Sessions were held during the forum that allowed alumni to have direct dialogue with government and private sector representatives based on nation-building, entrepreneurship, and employability. Sheikha Moza also announced the establishment of an alumni startup accelerator fund to provide various forms of support for QF graduates. Over 14,000 students have graduated from QF’s schools and universities, and the QF Alumni Program is open to all of them. The program aims to create a global network of QF alumni who retain their links to QF and Qatar and help each other achieve their goals.
Francisco Marmolejo, President of Higher Education, QF, said: “Our alumni are the greatest embodiment of Qatar Foundation’s investment, and belief, in the power of education to allow everyone to define their path, realize their potential, and benefit Qatar, the region, and the world.”
