All of you budding entrepreneurs with a less than two-year-old startup in Jordan, fasten your seatbelts. The race is about to start as Seedstars World, one of the most famed startup competitions in the world prepares to come to the Middle East to select the most promising early-stage startups.
Any Jordanian startup founded within the last two years can apply to participate if they meet the following criteria:
- The applicant must not have raised more than $500,000 in funding.
- The applicant must have a minimum viable product (MVP).
- A minimum viable product with some traction and can scale beyond Jordan.
Seedstars will shortlist ten most promising startups based on their applications. Each of these shortlisted companies will get five minutes to pitch their products and business ideas to a jury panel comprising stakeholders in Jordan’s thriving startup ecosystem.
Speaking of the importance of the pitch competition for the local startup scene, Meghan Warner, Regional Manager for MENA at Seedstars, said, “Since this will be our 4th time organizing the event in Amman, the stakes are high, and we are very excited. We’ve been in this ecosystem for more than four years now and know there are companies in Jordan developing high-quality products.”
The winner of Seedstars Amman will get the chance to participate in the Seedstars World main event along with the national winners from 65 countries. Not just that, the top three startups from the event will also be automatically eligible for the final round of The Tank’s incubation application process. Click here to apply now.
