SparksLabs Energy, one of the leading energy tech accelerators operating in the Gulf region, is all geared up to hold its maiden Demo Day on March 19, 2019.
Judging by the anticipation surrounding the event, it is likely to be a smashing hit with a mega turn out consisting of no less than 200 high-level delegates, among others. It will also facilitate a platform for six innovative emerging companies to officially announce their successful ventures with Petroleum Development Oman (PDO).
The six-month acceleration program kicked off in November 2018 with six startups from across the world joining the cohort. Two of these participants were based in Oman while the rest of the four came from the US, the UK, and Canada. These were Interface Fluidics, Sensytec, Acoustic Data, Rihal, eMushrif, and Voyager
Each startup received funding worth OMR 150,000 from SparksLabs Energy in addition to extensive mentorship and guidance on topics such as how to successfully navigate the Omani business ecosystem.
The SparksLabs Energy acceleration program came into being after a partnership between SparksLabs Global, PDO, and Phaze Ventures, Oman’s first private venture capital firm.
