Here comes a positive new development for all those who could not make it on time to register for the sixth edition of the Mashroo3i Youth Business Competition. Tamkeen has announced that it is extending the deadline for the 2019-2020 edition of the event.
The new final deadline for registration is in five days, February 15, 2020.
Apparently, the extension had to be implemented against the backdrop of rising interest in the competition, with the labor fund stating that the number of applicants has already exceeded 150.
The extension is likely to benefit a large number of Bahraini youth who are interested in the comprehensive platform promised by Mashroo3i. After all, a solid performance in the competition will empower them to transform their business ideas into real entrepreneurial projects.
The Mashroo3i Youth Business competition is open for all Bahraini nationals in the age group of 18 to 35. Participants can team up in groups of two to three and pitch their innovation and business ideas.
It is basically a national platform designed to assist and guide participants to learn about the basics of conducting a well-executed feasibility study, building prototypes, and kick-starting a new business from the ground up.
The competition will wrap up by honoring the top-3 projects in the final ceremony.
Speaking about the potential and impact of Mashroo3i Youth Business Competition, Dr. Ebrahim Mohammed Janahi, Chief Executive of Tamkeen, said: “Mashroo3i Youth Business Competition attracts a large segment of ambitious young Bahrainis who intend to pursue entrepreneurial career paths; therefore, this extension aims to allow more individuals with innovative ideas to take part in the program and benefit from key training opportunities that will enable them to actualize their business ideas, and consequently contribute to the growth of the private sector in line with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030.”
