In a strategic move aimed at bolstering Bahrain’s Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, the Labour Fund (Tamkeen) has announced its support for the expansion project of Al Salwa Meat Factory. The initiative, part of Tamkeen’s Business Growth program, seeks to enhance production capacity, spur exports, and create quality job opportunities for approximately 30 Bahraini nationals.
The expansion endeavors include the implementation of a cutting-edge production line, poised to double the factory’s capacity, and the introduction of a range of high-demand products to elevate export capabilities. This strategic move positions Al Salwa Meat Factory to penetrate new regional and international markets, further amplifying Bahrain’s presence in the global FMCG landscape.
Her Excellency Ms. Maha Abdulhameed Mofeez, Chief Executive of Tamkeen, emphasized the significance of supporting Al Salwa Meat Factory’s expansion, underscoring the pivotal role of the FMCG industry in Bahrain’s economic growth and export landscape. Mr. Mohammed Abdul Amir, CEO of Al Salwa Meat Factory, expressed pride in the partnership with Tamkeen, highlighting its role in fueling business growth, fostering local employment, and expanding the company’s product portfolio.
With Tamkeen’s backing, Al Salwa Meat Factory is poised to solidify its regional and international footprint, showcasing the quality and competitiveness of Bahraini products on the global stage.
Aligned with Tamkeen’s strategic priorities for the year, the initiative not only facilitates job creation and market expansion but also underscores Bahrain’s commitment to nurturing a robust private sector ecosystem and fostering sustainable economic growth.
