On Monday, Tenmou hosted the eighth edition of the Annual MENA Angel Investors Summit. Held in collaboration with Tamkeen, the summit was the first official events of this year’s Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW 2019) that kicked off earlier today and will continue through Nov 24.
Tenmou prides itself as Bahrain’s first Business Angel Company that invests primarily in scalable and promising tech startups.
This year’s rendition of the summit saw 30 high-potential tech startups demonstrating their innovative technologies in addition to Tenmou’s presentation on how it has consistently served as a support-base for up-and-coming businesses.
The company also gave a walkthrough of its track record as a platform that ensures a better deal flow and helps generate more opportunities in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. More than 300 attendees participated in the summit, including local and regional startups, investors, policymakers, bureaucrats, corporates, family offices, and so on.
The summit did even better than last year’s rendition when nearly 87% of all participating startups bagged hefty investment deals.
Speaking on the occasion, Tamkeen CEO Dr. Ebrahim Mohammed Janahi, noted: “As part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, the MENA Summit demonstrates one of the potentials of the Kingdom’s dynamic startup ecosystem. This partnership comes in line with our aim to establish Bahrain as a leading entrepreneurial hub and a launchpad to the rest of the MENA region.”
The next rendition of the summit will take place in Nov 2020 and it will see Tenmou and Flat6Labs Bahrain joining forces to put up an even bigger and better platform for the startup and investors communities in the region.
