An official delegation from the Kingdom of Bahrain participated in the Global Entrepreneurship Congress Conference 2018 (GEC), on Sunday 15 April 2019.
If you didn’t know already, the Kingdom of Bahrain will be hosting the GEC conference in 2019, after announcing its victory November of last year, at a ceremony held in New York.
The Global Entrepreneurship Congress is an annual event that attracts many economic leaders, entrepreneurs, and decision-makers from more than 170 countries around the world to encourage entrepreneurs to learn about and benefit from international experts in various fields.
In case you weren’t aware, Bahrain was ranked 1st globally to work, live and raise a family by 2017 InterNations Expat Insider Survey, 1st in MENA and fourth year running in ICT Development by ITU 2017 ICT Development Index, 1st in the GCC for Best Country to Invest In by Conway and recognised as a global FinTech Hub by the Connecting FinTech Interim Hub Review in 2017.
The event is expected to attract the most prominent minds in the field of entrepreneurship and to provide a platform that fosters a culture of entrepreneurship and cooperation between Bahrain and its international partners, enhancing the Kingdom’s position as a business destination and a leading global center for entrepreneurship and innovation, Bahrain Economic 2030“.
The Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism, H.E. Mr. Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani, participated in the dialogue of emerging countries with the presence of some leaders and experts on entrepreneurship policies and encouraging the growth of the emerging market.
Dr. Ebrahim Mohammed Janahi, Chief Executive Officer of Tamkeen, organizing the conference in the Kingdom of Bahrain, stressed that this participation is an opportunity to meet with representatives of the economy and decision-makers from around the world. Which will contribute to enriching our expertise in organizing the conference in the Kingdom of Bahrain”.
Dr. Janahi added: “Hosting this important global event strengthens the Kingdom’s position in the world’s leading system, thus, let us continue the path we have embarked upon since Tamkeen’s inception in promoting the culture of entrepreneurship in the Kingdom. And to intensify our efforts to support entrepreneurs in various sectors so that they can compete locally and regionally, to realize the Kingdom’s vision of building a sustainable economy.”
